Artist Navin Soni

An artist from Bhuj-India, born in Gadhada (Bhavnagar) in 1965. He is an artist with the ability to create paintings, sculptures, cartoons, illustrations, murals, designs, writing, and directions. He studied ATD(Art Teachers Diploma) at CN College of Fine Art in Ahmedabad-India in 1982. He started painting in 1982 and did Ceiling paintings in the early age of his career.

He began making illustrations for the local newspaper Kutchmitra in the 1980's. It was in 1995 that he started the SONI ART GALLERY and began promoting his artwork abroad. He taught painting and drawing to many young artists. Since then, he has developed his skills in art direction and design. As a concept designer, he worked on Bhuj Swaminarayan Temple (2001-2010), Swaminarayan Museum (2010-2011) and Vande Matram Memorial (2012-2017).

In order to study museums and conceptual designs, he visited Kenya, Mauritius, Singapore, Dubai, and the USA. During his career, He created some beautiful Painting series on Ragas(2009), Navarasas(2012), Shringar(2012) and Ashtanayika(2018).

For those Painting series he was guided by his friend, philosopher and guide Mr. Babubhai Ranpura. From 2009 to 2019 he had several Painting Exhibitions sponsored by Gujarat State Lalitkala Academy.

For invaluable contribution in Art and Culture He was awarded a prestigious “Gujarat Gaurav Puraskar” in 2015 by Gujarat State Lalitkala Academy. He had exhibitions in various cities of India and in the UK(2018), USA(2022) too. To know more about him please visit navinsoni.art

Jigar Soni

Born in 1988 in Bhuj-India, He began painting at the age of four. As a child, he enjoyed playing with Colours and brushes. he began working professionally as an artist in 2006. He pursued a Bachelor of Commerce degree at Kutch University. In the early age of his carrier, he began to create illustrations for local newspapers based on stories.

In his school days, he won numerous awards. He won a painting contests at the District level in 2007 and 2009. He received the Rasiklal Parikh Award from the Gujarat State Lalitkala Academy in 2011 and the Amazing Fine Artist Award from the Mahatma Gandhi Memorial in 2019 in Texas, United States. He participated in many group-shows in India.

He produced a painting series on "Talas" (RHYTHM) with the blessing of his spiritual mentor Babubhai Ranpura in 2012. He also wrote a book with name “TALVANDANA” on Rhythm and published by Navbharat Sahitya Mandeer, Ahmedabad. He had solo show at Nehru Centre-London, UK in 2018. In 2019, he created a painting series on Mahatma Gandhiji and exhibited at Dallas, Texas-USA.

He has worked on paintings and sketches, dioramas, conceptual designs, and sculptures in several projects. He enjoys learning new things, and as a result, he is knowledgeable in architectural designs. He is currently posting articles on jigarart.in

Mayuri J Soni

Born in 1990 in Kutch. She completed BA from Kutch University. A Mud Work(Lippan Art) Artisan who learnt Mudart in 2008 from “Ashapura Women's Academy” -Bhuj(India).

She professionally started her career in Mud-art from 2010. She provided Mud’art to the different states of India as well as abroad. After marriage she learnt painting from his husband Jigar Soni.

She made paintings and Mix media art that were acclaimed professionally. She has participated in several art exhibitions.
